He’s best known for playing the role of the good-hearted criminal Fernando Sucre on the hit Fox TV series Prison Break, a performance that really put him on the map. Over the years, he continued to build his acting career with roles in various television projects—like the short-lived ABC sitcom Work It, where he brought both charm and humor to the screen. He also appeared as a regular cast member in the ABC crime drama Deception, further showcasing his range as an actor. Before all the fame and spotlight, though, life looked a bit different for him. Originally, he had set his sights on becoming a doctor and even considered going to medical school. But everything changed when he landed a commercial gig—a small break that ultimately shifted his path toward acting. On a more personal note, he had a close relationship with his sister Deborah, who sadly passed away in 2010. Throughout it all, he’s remained grounded, letting each chapter of his journey shape the man and performer he is today.
He’s the one who organized and hosted the annual Amaury Nolasco & Friends Golf Classic, an event he’s passionate about. Amaury Nolasco has always been committed to giving back, and this golf tournament is a perfect example—every dollar raised goes directly to support non-profit Puerto Rican organizations. Thanks to Amaury Nolasco’s dedication, the event continues to make a meaningful impact year after year.
