Basketball has always been a big part of his life, and it’s no surprise that this standout athlete was rated the number one high school player by ESPN for the 2025 class. That kind of recognition doesn’t come easy, but for him, it’s been the result of years of dedication and hard work on the court. He currently plays for Utah Prep, a high school located in the small but proud town of Hurricane, Utah, where he shines as a small forward. Standing tall at an impressive 6’9”, he brings both size and skill to the game—qualities that have made him a rising star in the basketball world.
Before fame started knocking on his door, he had already experienced quite a journey, playing basketball at several different high schools. Eventually, he made the move to Utah Prep to wrap up his high school career, a decision that clearly paid off given his national ranking. Looking ahead, he’s set to continue his basketball journey at Brigham Young University (BYU), where he’ll be playing on an athletic scholarship starting in the fall of 2025. It’s an exciting next chapter, and one that feels well-earned.
He originally hails from Brockton, Massachusetts—a place that still holds a special spot in his heart. Family has always been important to him, and he comes from a close-knit household. His parents, Ace and Chelsea Dybantsa, have supported him every step of the way. And then there’s his younger sister, Jasmyn, who’s making her own mark as an accomplished high school volleyball player. While the spotlight may be on him now, especially with all the buzz around being the top-ranked player in the 2025 class, he remains grounded, focused, and ready for whatever comes next.
At the Nike Peach Jam in 2023, which was part of the Nike Elite Youth League, he really stood out—especially with his scoring. He averaged an impressive 25.8 points per game, making him the top scorer at the event. And honestly, that wasn’t even the only highlight of his year. He also took part in the FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship held in Mérida, Mexico. There, he represented the United States and played a key role in securing a gold medal. His performance throughout the tournament showed just how much potential he has, especially when you consider how dominant he was at the Nike Peach Jam. All in all, it was a breakout kind of year for him, proving time and again why he’s one to watch.
