In 2024, the former NBA forward took the helm as the head coach of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team, marking a significant milestone in his career. Prior to his role at Kentucky, he spent nearly five years coaching at Utah Valley, from 2015 to 2019, and then moved on to lead Brigham Young University from 2019 until joining Kentucky. His connection with Kentucky, however, runs deeper than just coaching—he played his final two seasons of college basketball there and was a key member of the team that secured the 1996 NCAA championship.

Off the court, he has enjoyed a stable and loving personal life, having married Lee Anne Pope. Together, they have built a family and raised four daughters.
