One half of the popular Christian pop duo for KING & COUNTRY, he performs alongside his brother Joel, creating music that has resonated with fans around the world. The pair gained significant recognition early in their career when Billboard named them New Artist to Watch back in 2012. Their talent didn’t go unnoticed, and by 2015, they took home not one but two Grammy Awards in the Contemporary Christian Music categories—a major milestone for him and his brother.
Before all the spotlight and success, he made a big move from his birthplace, Sydney, all the way to Nashville, Tennessee, in 1991, setting the stage for what would become an inspiring musical journey. Music clearly runs in the family—his father worked as a music promoter, which may have helped shape his early passion for performance. On the personal side, he’s closely tied to another well-known act through marriage; his brother-in-law is Jacob Fink, the bassist for Foster the People.
In love and life, he found his partner in Courtney Helm, whom he married on June 26, 2010. Together, they’ve built a beautiful family. They are proud parents to three sons—Jude, Phoenix, and Leo—and in 2021, welcomed their daughter, Evie, into the world. For him, balancing faith, family, and music continues to be at the heart of everything he does.
Their first two studio albums, Crave and Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong, really made waves in the Christian music scene. I mean, it’s impressive how Crave landed at #4 on the Top Christian Albums chart, and then the follow-up, Run Wild. Live Free. Love Strong, actually climbed even higher—reaching an amazing #2 spot. It’s clear that their sound resonated deeply with fans early on, and those chart positions definitely helped solidify their name in the industry. Yeah, looking back, those releases were kind of a turning point for them.
