KB, the Christian hip hop artist widely recognized by his stage name, has made a significant impact in the music world as the leader of the hip hop group HGA—short for His Glory Alone. KB’s journey into faith and music began during a challenging period in his life, when he was struggling both academically and personally. It was at that pivotal moment that a man named Jeremy introduced him to Christian rap, an encounter that ultimately changed the course of KB’s life. Inspired by this new direction, KB went on to enroll in Bible college after high school, where he would later form the group HGA alongside like-minded individuals.
Born into a military family in St. Petersburg, Florida, KB spent his early years moving around. Shortly after birth, he relocated to southern Illinois, where he lived for about eight years. Following his parents’ divorce, KB moved back to St. Petersburg, marking another turning point in his upbringing. In 2010, KB signed with Reach Records as a solo artist—a major milestone that opened doors for him to join the influential hip hop collective 116 Clique, further solidifying his presence in the Christian music scene.
Throughout it all, KB has remained grounded in his mission to spread faith through artistry. As a devoted individual, he is also a father, balancing his personal life with his passion for music. From his early struggles to becoming a respected voice in Christian hip hop, KB continues to inspire audiences with authenticity, purpose, and a clear message: it’s all for His glory alone.
In 2011, he dropped a mixtape titled Who Is KB?, which served as his introduction to many listeners. Not long after, he followed up with his album Weight & Glory in 2012, building on the momentum he had started. Then, in 2014, he released an EP called 100, continuing to showcase his growth and versatility as an artist.
