The bass guitarist for one of the most iconic and successful Latin American bands of all time, Maná, has truly made a lasting impact on the music world. Maná, as many know, has been celebrated with four Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and countless other honors throughout their incredible career. He, along with his brothers Ulises and Abraham, first started making music together in a group called Sombrero Verde back in 1978, and that band eventually evolved into what we now know as Maná. Before he became widely recognized, he actually began performing with various bands at just 13 years old—showing his passion and talent from a very young age. His full birth name is Juan Diego Calleros Ramos, though fans often simply refer to him as a key member of Maná. Coming from a large family, he has 11 siblings, which speaks to the vibrant household he grew up in. On a personal note, his wife’s name is Erika, and together they share a daughter named Paola, who undoubtedly brings joy to his life outside of touring and recording with Maná. Being part of Maná has not only defined his musical journey but also solidified his legacy in Latin rock history.
He kept on playing with Mana for many decades, even after his brothers had left the group.
