The International Heavyweight Boxing Champion had an incredible run, remaining undefeated in England, Europe, and the Commonwealth for nine consecutive years. Before he rose to fame, he showcased his athletic talent from a young age. Encouraged by his trainer, Andy Smith, he decided to pursue boxing and turned professional by the time he was just 17 years old. He was born in Szoreg, Hungary, but his life took a dramatic turn when he and his family were forced to leave their homeland following the Soviet invasion in 1956, eventually settling in the UK where his legendary boxing career would begin.
He became more popular in America compared to Britain, where he hosted several U.S. television shows and also served as a consultant for the Academy Award-nominated boxing film, Cinderella Man.
