This accomplished American basketball coach and former NBA player is widely recognized for his successful tenure with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Prior to making a name for himself in the coaching world, he enjoyed a solid professional playing career, suiting up for teams such as the New York Knicks, the Detroit Pistons, and the Washington Wizards. Before achieving fame on the court and from the sidelines, he graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1992 with a degree in criminal justice.
Off the court, he shares his life with his wife, Leslie, and together they are raising three children—Micah, Elijah, and Bobbie Grace. Additionally, he comes from a notable basketball lineage, being the nephew of the late, great Walter Davis, who also made a significant impact in the basketball world.
During the 2007-2008 season, he served as a college basketball analyst for ESPN.
