Her journey, particularly her early life and basketball career, was brought to the screen in the 2002 Disney Channel film Double Teamed, where she was portrayed by Poppi Monroe. Prior to her rise to prominence, she played a key role in leading Palos Verdes High School to a Southern Section 3-A championship victory back in 1987. She also happens to be the twin sister of Heidi Burge, which adds another interesting layer to her personal story.
