He first made a name for himself as a collegiate quarterback, starting his college football journey in 2019 as a freshman at the University of Central Florida. Right from the beginning, he showed promise, steadily building his reputation over the years. During his sophomore season at UCF, he really began to shine—earning second team All-AAC honors, which was a big step forward in his development. After spending three solid seasons with the Knights at UCF, he decided to take on a new challenge and transferred to the University of Oklahoma, looking to elevate his game even further.
Before all the college spotlight, though, his roots trace back to Mililani Public High School in Hawaii, where he was recognized as a three-star recruit. Despite not being the most heavily recruited player nationally, his talent stood out locally—and then some. As a senior, he had a standout season that led to him being named Hawaii’s Gatorade High School Football Player of the Year, a major honor that highlighted his hard work and dedication. Growing up in Mililani, Hawaii, he lived with his family and built the foundation for his future success, long before the national stage came calling.
He wrapped up his debut season at UCF making history as the program’s all-time leader in passing yards by a freshman—an impressive feat that really set the tone for his college career. Throughout his time there, he racked up four 400-yard passing games, which, by the way, is still a record at UCF. His standout performance didn’t go unnoticed, and in 2022, he earned the title of Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year—a well-deserved honor that highlighted just how impactful he was. Standing at 5’11” and weighing just over 200 pounds, he brought both size and agility to the field. He definitely made a name for himself early on, and people started talking about him as one of the most promising players to come through the program in recent years. He showed consistency, poise, and an ability to perform under pressure—qualities that made him a fan favorite and a key player for UCF.
