The frontman of the indie rock band Imagine Dragons, Dan Reynolds has long been a central figure in the group’s rise to global fame. Alongside lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, drummer Daniel Platzman, and bassist Ben McKee, Dan Reynolds helped shape the band’s signature sound. Imagine Dragons truly broke through with their 2012 debut album Night Visions, which included the chart-topping single “Radioactive.” Before all the spotlight and sold-out tours, Dan Reynolds formed Imagine Dragons while he was studying at Brigham Young University. Prior to that, he spent two years serving as a Mormon missionary—a formative experience that influenced both his personal growth and artistic voice.
Dan Reynolds was the seventh of nine children, raised by his parents Ronald and Christene Reynolds in a large, close-knit family. In 2011, Dan Reynolds married singer Aja Volkman, marking the beginning of a deeply public chapter in his life. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Arrow, in 2012—shortly after the band’s meteoric rise. Their family grew with the arrival of twin daughters, Gia and Coco, in 2017, and then a son named Valentine in 2019. Despite their growing family, challenges emerged, and Dan Reynolds and Aja Volkman briefly separated in 2018. Years later, in April 2023, she formally filed for divorce, bringing their marriage to an end. Around November 2022, Dan Reynolds made headlines again when he was romantically linked to actress Minka Kelly, sparking widespread media attention. Through it all, Dan Reynolds continues to stand as the driving force behind Imagine Dragons, balancing personal evolution with enduring musical passion.
He and his wife, Aja Volkman, came together to form the indie rock duo Egyptian, and they released a self-titled EP back in 2011.
