A power-hitting softball player, she made a name for herself by winning Olympic gold medals in both 2004 and 2008. During those games, she also set a remarkable record for hitting the most home runs in an Olympic series—six in total. Before she rose to international fame, her journey began in the Canyon Country Little League, where she got her first real experience with organized softball. Growing up in Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, California, she developed the skills and determination that would later define her stellar career.
