An outfielder who first stepped onto the MLB stage in 2013 with the Miami Marlins, he quickly made a name for himself. By 2018, he was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers, and that very year, he earned the prestigious title of NL MVP—an impressive feat for someone in his first season with a new team.
Before all the fame and accolades, he was just a kid from California, attending Westlake High School. His talent was evident even back then, so much so that the Marlins drafted him straight out of high school in the first round of the 2010 MLB Draft.
He was born in Thousand Oaks, California, where he grew up as the oldest of three siblings. His brothers, Collin and Cameron, also share a connection to baseball, with Collin having played for the Atlanta Braves. Growing up in a family that supported his passion definitely played a role in shaping his future success.
In 2011, he managed to hit 15 home runs while playing in A-ball.
