Casey Deidrick, an actor and musician, first gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Chad DiMera on the long-running soap opera Days of Our Lives (NBC, 1965–present). That role opened the door to other opportunities, eventually leading him to star in the teen thriller Eye Candy (MTV, 2015) and the romantic TV movie Advance and Retreat (2016). Born in 1987 in Santa Clara, California, Casey initially pursued a different passion—skateboarding. He even competed in the Vans World Amateur Competition in 2004. However, a serious concussion sustained during that time prompted him to shift his focus entirely, steering him toward acting as a new career path.
After studying Theater for a year at Metropolitan State College in Denver, Casey made the move to Los Angeles. Originally intended to be a temporary character, Chad resonated strongly with audiences, prompting the writers to expand his storyline and introduce his entire family into the show. While on the show, Deidrick also made guest appearances on several other high-profile series. In 2015, Deidrick returned to television in a leading role as NYPD detective Tommy Calligan in Eye Candy, further showcasing his versatility as a performer. The following year, he appeared in the film American Satan, a story set against the backdrop of the Sunset Strip music scene, and starred alongside Riley Voelkel in Advance and Retreat, a heartfelt romantic TV movie.
