Well-known for his portrayal of Cisco Ramon in the popular TV series Arrow and its spin-off The Flash, he has also made a name for himself through his impressive work in professional theater. Among his notable stage roles was his participation in the national tour of the hit musical Jersey Boys, as well as being part of the original Broadway cast of Once.
Before he became widely recognized in the entertainment industry, he pursued his education at the prestigious University of Michigan’s School of Music. It was during this time that he laid the foundation for his future career in the performing arts. After graduating, he quickly gained experience through stage productions such as The Wedding Singer and High School Musical, which helped solidify his skills as a performer.
He was originally born in Colombia and had the unique experience of being raised in two different U.S. cities—Miami, Florida, and Marietta, Georgia. These diverse cultural and geographic influences likely played a role in shaping his artistic identity and versatility as an actor and musician.
At the beginning of his career, he was part of a theater group known as StarKid Productions, where he both created and performed in original musicals.
