A highly touted pitching prospect, he was once considered a rising star in the baseball world. Unfortunately, his promising career never reached its full potential after he suffered a severe arm injury while defending his brother during a bar fight. Before that incident, he had already made a name for himself playing baseball at East Carteret High School, where he reportedly threw a fastball as fast as 99 mph—a rare and impressive feat. Following his departure from professional baseball, he shifted gears and began working alongside his father as a bricklayer, finding a new path outside of the sport he once dreamed of dominating.
