Strikingly handsome Asian-American actor Brandon Lee was the son of the legendary martial artist Bruce Lee and a Swedish-American mother. From an early age, Lee showed a passion for performance, beginning his journey in regional theater while still in high school. Following his studies in theater at college, he got his first major opportunity when he was cast in Kung Fu: The Movie (1986), a television revival of the beloved ABC series from the 1970s. In the film, he played an assassin hunting down David Carradine’s character, Cain—a role that had originally been envisioned for his father, Bruce Lee.
