A rising star in the world of Spanish-language trap and reggaeton, he captured widespread attention with his breakout hit “Soy Peor.” Over time, he became a household name thanks to high-profile collaborations such as “I Like It” with J Balvin and Cardi B, “MIA” featuring Drake, and “Mayores” alongside Becky G. Before all the fame and success, he spent time working at a local supermarket, carrying groceries and making ends meet. His journey into the music scene officially kicked off in 2016, and he was signed to DJ Luian’s Hear This Music label until late 2018.
Originally from Vega Baja, San Juan, he grew up with two younger brothers, Bernie and Bysael, and was named Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio at birth. He once pursued studies in audiovisual communications at the Universidad de Puerto Rico in Arecibo, but ultimately decided to leave school to focus on his music career. In his personal life, he started a relationship with Gabriela Berlingeri back in 2017, and prior to that, he had been in a five-year-long relationship with Carliz de la Cruz. In 2023, he was also linked to Kendall Jenner, with the two dating throughout the year before parting ways by the end of it.
He got his stage name when he posted a childhood photo of himself in a bunny costume—looking anything but happy—and his fans started calling him “Conejo Malo.” It was kind of ironic, really, how that moment turned into such a defining part of his identity. Over time, he embraced it, and the name stuck. Fast forward to 2019, and he took home the Latin Grammy for Best Urban Music Album with X 100PRE, a huge milestone in his career. People were really proud of him—he’d worked hard to get there. Then, in 2020, he made moves beyond music, landing a role in the third season of Narcos: Mexico. That same year, he also stepped into the world of film with a part in American Sole. It’s been interesting to watch him grow—not just as an artist, but as a performer across different platforms. He’s definitely making his mark.
