Ava is an American dancer who truly found her moment to shine when she joined forces with her sister Ellie to compete on the third season of World of Dance. Together, they formed the dynamic duo known as Ellie & Ava, captivating audiences with their talent and synchronization. Ava has always had a passion for dance, which led her to participate in numerous prestigious competitions over the years—one notable appearance being at the Orlando Hall of Fame Nationals.
Before all the spotlight and stage lights, Ava was hard at work training at the Larkin Dance Studio in Maplewood, Minnesota—a studio that’s especially meaningful to her family. In fact, her grandmother Michele is the proud owner of the studio, continuing a legacy that began with Ava’s great-grandmother Shirley, who originally founded the company. Growing up surrounded by such strong dance roots certainly shaped Ava’s journey.
Born to parents Susan and Cory, Ava was raised in an environment that nurtured both discipline and creativity. With generations of dance excellence behind her, it’s no surprise that Ava has emerged as a standout performer. And as part of Ellie & Ava, she continues to make her mark—proving that with dedication, family support, and natural talent, dreams can take center stage.
She really made a name for herself back in 2018 when she was crowned Junior Female Best Dancer at The Dance Awards—a huge achievement that definitely put her on the map. Since then, she’s continued to shine, showing off her talent as a member of the University of Minnesota dance team. She’s always brought energy, precision, and passion to every performance, proving time and again why she stands out. She’s the kind of dancer who gives it her all, and honestly, her journey so far has been nothing short of inspiring. She’s clearly dedicated to her craft, and she continues to grow with every step she takes.
