Known for being the brother of Academy Award-nominated actress Vera Farmiga, who appeared in major films like The Departed, Up in the Air, and The Conjuring, this celebrity family member has often been recognized in relation to his famous siblings. In addition to Vera, he is also the brother of Taissa Farmiga, a well-known television star who has played key roles in several seasons of FX’s American Horror Story, including Murder House, Coven, Roanoke, and Apocalypse.

Before stepping into the spotlight, he spent his early years in Irvington, NJ, and later grew up mostly in the quieter, rural town of Flemington, NJ. His upbringing was deeply influenced by his Ukrainian heritage and the strong presence of religion in his household. He is the third and youngest son of Mykhailo Farmiga, a systems analyst and landscaper, and Lubomyra “Luba” Spas, a schoolteacher.
