The Atlanta rapper, known for his impactful music releases, kicked off his career with a debut project titled The Slaughter Tape. Following its success, he dropped a follow-up mixtape called Slaughter King, continuing to build his reputation in the rap scene. In July 2017, he unveiled his first full-length studio album, Issa Album, marking a major milestone in his professional journey.
Before he rose to fame, however, his life was shaped by difficult experiences. During his 7th grade year, he was expelled from DeKalb County schools due to a gun possession incident. Then, in 2013, tragedy struck when his close friend was killed and he himself was shot six times. It was during this turbulent time that he found solace and purpose in music, ultimately leading him to pursue a career in rap.
Born in the United Kingdom under the name Shayaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, he relocated to the United States at the age of 12. The Atlanta rapper eventually settled in Atlanta, the city he considers home. His mother hails from the Dominican Republic, while his father originates from the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent.
On the personal front, from 2017 to 2018, he was in a high-profile relationship with Amber Rose. As of now, he is a father to three children—two sons and a daughter—with each child coming from a different mother.
He worked together with Metro Boomin on an EP titled SavageBoomin. In 2017, Jake Paul featured him in a YouTube video.
